Director Radiology

Provide expert leadership in Radiology services at West Moreton Health! Working in partnership with the Director of Medical Imaging, the Director of Radiology leads the medical governance of the WMH Radiology service.
You will be responsible for enabling high quality, contemporary services integrated within Ipswich Hospital and West Moreton Health (WMH). Liaison and co-ordination with other clinical departments, private partners and state-wide networks is critical, as is the development of models of service within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Permanent Part time opportunity – 20 hours per fortnight!
Salary information provided is based on full time equivalent (80 hours per fortnight)

What we're looking for
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in leading and managing a medical service.
- Commitment to the principles of quality in health care including leading initiatives relating to quality improvement, research, risk management, service evaluation and strategic service delivery planning.
- Extensive clinical experience with appropriate knowledge and skills extending across the range of medical disciplines, with an ability to deliver quality specialty care to patients in a clinical setting including directing the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer and discharge of patients.
- Apply sound business management skills to plan and control the financial function of the service within delegation.
- Demonstrated honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Australian and New Zealand Radiologists
- Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration in Radiology with the Medical Board of Australia.
