About the role

As part of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology team at Mount Isa Hospital, you will deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care across inpatient and outpatient settings while building your clinical and procedural skills in a regional environment. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care across obstetrics and gynaecology services, including antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care
  • Work collaboratively with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit activities to enhance service delivery
  • Develop and maintain clinical skills, including opportunities in ultrasound and procedural training

  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Base salary ranges between $5,258.70 to $5,775.70 per fortnight. (L4-L7).
  • Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
  • Professional development allowance and leave of 1.6 weeks p.a.
  • Inaccessibility incentive payment of $34,500 per annum; half paid at completion of: each six (6) months' service without pro rata entitlement.
  • If you are enrolled in a vocational training program you will be entitled to a Vocational Training Subsidy of $3,762.00 per annum.

Plus we can offer:

  • Accommodation (Provided as per NWHHS Procedure for Staff Accommodation)
  • Assistance with travel and relocation expenses negotiated following appointment.

Requirements

  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
