About the role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Allied Health professional to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative hospital substitution services across Metro North Health. As the Allied Health Team Leader for Hospital in the Home (HITH) and program lead for Geriatric Evaluation and Management in the Home (GEMITH), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care in their homes and community settings. Working within the Home Hospital Service Stream, you will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership to a diverse allied health workforce, supporting the delivery of acute and subacute services that improve patient outcomes and reduce the need for traditional inpatient care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Apply a specialist level of knowledge, clinical skills, problem solving skills and experience of complex clinical practice standards to lead the provision of clinical services within the Hospital in the Home Team.
  • Play a key leadership role in the training, guidance and mentoring to clinicians looking to build capability across the Hospital in the Home Team.
  • Provide advanced level clinical advice to relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding clinical service delivery and development.
  • Work collaboratively across service lines and represent the service on behalf of the Assistant Director Allied Health Home Hospital.
  • Operationally manage human, financial and material resources for the teams including staff recruitment, rostering and allocation of budget and resources.
