About the role
The High Voltage (HV) Supervisor provides management and technical direction to ensure all electrical infrastructure under the control of the position is tested, maintained and fully compliant with statutory requirements, codes, best practice and Queensland Health policies. The position manages and ensures compliance of the maintenance of the high voltage electrical network, including the high voltage sub-stations and all associated electrical apparatus.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Possession of a Trade Qualification (Electrical Fitter Mechanic) recognised in Queensland with completion of an apprenticeship or a Queensland recognised equivalent
- HVIA Switching operation qualification and demonstrated experience is mandatory
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualifications and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of duties
- Possession of a General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Pre-employment screening, including criminal history and discipline history checks, may be undertaken on persons recommended for employment.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
