About the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Team

CHQ CF team provides and supports high quality clinical and medication management services to the children and young people with CF in QLD. The QCH CF multidisciplinary team works within the Respiratory Department to provide services to inpatients, outpatients, hospital in the home and outreach services.  The AO3 role provides substantial administrative support to the CF team and patients and families of Queensland who are eligible for CFTR modulator therapy. The role is beneficial to the ongoing maintenance and organisation of CFTR modulator scripts for the current CF cohort in Queensland and Northern NSW.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Provide a quality client service including liaising with staff, public and private patients, carers and external agencies as required in a confidential manner.
  • Provide effective administrative support for the management of prescriptions e.g. managing prescription tracking database, PBS claims, postage and prescription filing etc.
  • Effectively use data systems for medications ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and records including contacting Department of Human Services as required for patient's details and enter data into relevant digital platforms
  • Provide input to business process improvement opportunities for the Department to enable more efficient and effective operations in the service.
