Administration Officer IROC

About the Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care Team
The Indigenous Respiratory Outreach Care (IROC) team provides lung health assessments and specialist care for children and young people with respiratory and breathing conditions. We work with families and communities to increase awareness and understanding of lung health and respiratory conditions. Through strong partnerships with local healthcare providers, we support coordinated care and build local capability by providing education, training, and ongoing support to healthcare professionals in regional and remote communities.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and helpful manner and maintain the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents, patients, members of the public and department staff in all forms of communication.
- Answer enquiries and provide accurate advice and support to parents, patients and colleagues on all matters relating to the respiratory and sleep appointments/studies.
- roficiently complete functions associated with the wait listing of patients, appointment management including cancellations, re-scheduling and removals. Alongside referral management and accurate data collection.
- Experience in managing a high level of phone calls, emails and internal correspondence.
- Complete all documentation relevant to admissions and discharges in accordance with Queensland Health an CHQ HHS administrative processes.
