About the role
The Senior Multicultural Health Officer plays a key role in advancing culturally responsive healthcare across Metro North Health. Working at both a strategic and operational level, you will lead initiatives that strengthen the organisation's ability to meet the needs of diverse communities and improve health outcomes for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. This role is focused on driving practical change through project leadership, capability development and collaborative partnerships.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead and deliver projects that strengthen multicultural capability and improve the patient journey.
- Design and implement systems, processes, resources and ways of working that embed multicultural capability in everyday service delivery.
- Enhance and adapt existing systems, processes, resources and workforce capability to better meet evolving clinical and patient multicultural needs.
- Research and apply best practice, innovation and evidence to inform project design and outcomes.
- Develop project plans, briefs and reports to support clear, outcome-focused delivery.
