🌅 Why Torres and Cape? Tell me more…

Life in the Torres and Cape blends cultural richness with professional purpose - you'll work closely with our First Nations communities and learn more than you ever expected—both clinically and personally. Working here, practising medicine isn't just a job, it's a front-row seat to some of Australia's most stunning landscapes. Here, your clinical skills matter deeply, and your impact is felt every single day.

🩺 About the role:

Working remotely means practicing medicine differently. You'll use your full scope, strengthen broad clinical skills, and build genuine relationships with patients, families, and colleagues — all while being backed by an experienced and collaborative team. You'll work in a diverse and supportive environment that offers attractive lifestyle opportunities and experiences, enabling you to grow, connect, learn, and create life-defining experiences. Your expertise, skills, and dedication play a crucial role in delivering quality care and positive outcomes.

No two days are the same - you could be stabilising critically ill patients for aeromedical retrieval or attending a birth (low-risk deliveries, emergency stabilisation), treating patients requiring chronic disease management or stabilising trauma patients (road accidents, workplace injuries). Working across emergency, inpatient, primary care and telehealth, you will provide mentorship and supervision of junior doctors, make decisions with limited resources, manage uncertainty without immediate specialist backup, and prioritise across multiple situations. You will work collaboratively with small multidisciplinary teams in providing quality care and ensuring positive outcomes for patients across the Torres and Cape.

Whether you are looking for a long-term move, or the opportunity to 'try-before-you-buy' (casual) this is your chance to make the move to Torres and Cape!

🌿 What we're looking for — someone who:

• is competent in rural and remote practice and wants their work to genuinely matter
• is respectful and community-aware and passionate about delivering culturally safe care
• is encouraging and steady for colleagues and is broad-skilled and adaptable
• values teamwork and respectful communication

🏡 What's on offer:

• Torres and Cape will give you a career with purpose
• Total remuneration value of $401,518–$617,248 (L13–L27) - base salary $192,257–$281,545 (L13–L27) + excellent benefits and allowances
• Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75% plus salary packaging
• and more!
