About us: 

Rural and Remote Services (RRS) comprises the region outside Cairns - south to Tully, west to Croydon, north to Mossman and northeast to Cow Bay. The RRS consists of three activity based funded facilities (Innisfail, Atherton and Mareeba), Lotus Glen Correctional Facility Primary Health Centre, Yarrabah Emergency Service, and single nurse Primary Health centres located at Croydon, Georgetown, Forsayth, Millaa Millaa, Malanda, Cow Bay, Dimbulah and Chillagoe.

About you opportunity: 

  • Provide confidential high level administrative/executive support to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Service Director and Rural and Remote Services in a mature and professional manner which ensures the integrity and efficiency of that Office.
  • Co-ordinate communication across rural and remote services regarding bed management to facilitate patient flow.
  • Prepare weekly daily staff variance forms for department staff incorporating leave takings and amendments to ensure human resource integrity.
  • Coordinate and assist in the completion of human resource, payroll and recruitment processes on behalf of the Director. Run regular payroll and finance reports, leave and accrual reports for the Director as required.
