Clinical Nurse
South Brisbane
The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical assessment and crisis intervention of children, youth and their families with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. This role works autonomously within the Healthcare Team structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivery of specialist nursing care, the coordination of child and youth mental health review as required, and the provision of day to day support for nursing staff across the hospital that promotes skill sharing and capacity building.

About the Team
CYMHS Consultation Liaison (CL) is one of six mental health teams based at Queensland Children's Hospital (QCH). CL provides mental health assessment, liaison and intervention for infants, children and young people aged 0-18 years, (and their families and carers), who have a primary medical condition, chronic illness or who present with medical symptoms for investigation, along with severe and complex mental illness or mental health related issues.
About the Role
In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the
Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
You'll fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health) Award - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQHHS) commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
