About the role
This role undertakes duties of a complex and varied nature with clinical decisions based on valid and reliable evidence and is recognised as a reference point for other clinicians in the team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Ability to provide high quality evidence-based clinical and neuropsychological assessments, therapy, and interventions to older persons with psychiatric disorders in the context of the biopsychosocial aspects of ageing.
- Ability to work collaboratively with consumers and their families, carers and other service providers and other mental health teams/services within a strong recovery framework and to achieve identified consumer outcomes.
- Ability to provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced psychologists and students on postgraduate placement in accordance with the PsyBA guidelines.
- Investment to a service (including team and discipline) through identified contributions resulting in improved service provision, better consumer outcomes and discipline specific activities.
