Your new role:
As our Advanced Clinical Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapy), you'll play a key leadership role in delivering specialised outpatient hand therapy services while supporting the ongoing development of clinical practice by:
- Providing advanced assessment, treatment and consultancy services in outpatient hand therapy.
- Leading evidence-based clinical practice, service improvement and innovation.
- Mentoring, supervising and developing Occupational Therapists, assistants and students.
- Acting as a clinical expert and resource for complex hand therapy cases.
- Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centred care.
- Contributing to research, education and quality improvement initiatives.
About you:
You're an experienced Occupational Therapist with advanced clinical expertise in hand therapy who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient outcomes by:
- Demonstrating advanced clinical skills in outpatient hand therapy.
- Providing leadership, clinical supervision and mentoring to support team development.
- Building strong collaborative relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Applying sound clinical judgement to manage complex patient presentations.
- Driving service improvement, innovation and evidence-based practice.
- Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues and key stakeholders.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
