About the role:
- Lead the Orthopaedics service across Central Queensland Health, driving clinical excellence, innovation and outstanding patient outcomes.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership while fostering a culture of safety, quality improvement and continuous service development.
- Mentor, educate and supervise medical staff, trainees and students, supporting workforce capability and future specialist development.
- Balance executive leadership with a minimum 0.5 FTE clinical workload, maintaining an active role in specialist orthopaedic care.
- Shape orthopaedic services across multiple CQ Health facilities, ensuring accessible, high-quality care that meets the needs of Central Queensland communities.
About you:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification with eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Orthopaedics with AHPRA, including Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including enrolment and maintenance of an appropriate Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
- Passion for education, research and workforce development, with experience mentoring, teaching and supporting the next generation of clinicians.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $529,246 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $ $265,550 - $281,545 p.a. (L25 – L27)
- A salary rate between $222,059 - $257,932 p.a. (L18 – L24)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
