Role details
The Specialist Outpatients Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Business Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
Purpose
- To provide assistance and support to the Manager of the Specialist Outpatient Department (SOPD) within the Mackay Health Service and deputising for the role of Manager where organisationally required.
- Provide leadership, management and direction to the administration staff within the unit ensuring the delivery of such services in a professional and proficient manner whilst ensuring that operational effectiveness.
About the Team
The Specialist Outpatient Department is in A Block in the Mackay Base Hospital. It provides specialist clinics for patients from within the MHHS. These specialist clinics include but are not limited to general surgery, orthopaedics, medical, haematology, cardio-thoracic, neurology and urology.
