Your new role:
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role delivers strategic procurement and contract management across a complex, high-value spend portfolio. You will lead sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management activities to achieve cost savings, strengthen supplier performance, and ensure compliance with procurement frameworks.
Partnering with senior stakeholders and clinicians, you'll drive value-for-money outcomes across capital projects, clinical consumables, and professional services, while contributing to continuous improvement in procurement practices and contract performance across the organisation.
About you:
You are a confident procurement professional who thrives in complex, high-value environments and is driven to deliver measurable value-for-money outcomes through strategic sourcing, strong stakeholder engagement, and disciplined contract management.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end procurement and contract management in complex environments
- Strong negotiator with a track record of achieving cost savings and value outcomes
- Highly effective stakeholder manager, able to influence senior leaders and clinicians
- Sound understanding of procurement frameworks, probity, and governance requirements
- Proactive, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings

It supports and guides business units across Metro South Hospital and Health Service to make effective, well-governed procurement decisions, enabling clinicians and staff to focus on delivering high-quality patient care with confidence in robust procurement and contract management.
