About the role
Provide leadership, training, and compliance coordination for the Protective Services team at The Prince Charles Hospital, Kallangur Satellite Hospital, and Jacaranda Place. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality security services that protect patients, visitors, staff, contractors, and physical assets while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, standards, and operational requirements.
You will coordinate training programs, monitor operational compliance, oversee security-related administrative processes, and provide leadership and support to security personnel. The role plays a key part in maintaining workforce capability, promoting contemporary security practices, and ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, professional, and effective protective services across multiple facilities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead and coordinate training, compliance, and capability development activities for Protective Services staff
- Provide operational leadership and guidance to ensure security services are delivered in accordance with legislation, policy, and best practice standards
- Monitor security reporting, compliance activities, CCTV and security systems administration, and workforce performance requirements
- Support workforce development through mentoring, performance planning, mandatory training compliance, and ongoing professional development
- Provide expert advice on security operations, risk management, and protective services functions while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
