About us:

Eventide Home is an 80-bed residential aged care facility in Rockhampton, providing compassionate, person-centred care in a welcoming, home-like environment. The service supports residents with a range of complex care needs, including psychogeriatric care, cognitive impairment and high-level residential care.

Family involvement is encouraged through care planning and daily activities, helping residents maintain meaningful connections. About the role:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred nursing care to older residents with complex health needs, including dementia, cognitive impairment and psychogeriatric conditions.
  • Coordinate admissions, discharges and ongoing care in partnership with families and the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care that promotes residents' dignity, comfort, safety and quality of life.
  • Support a safe, therapeutic environment by advocating for residents' rights, responding to complex behaviours and maintaining high clinical and professional standards.

About you:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current practising certificate is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality care for older people with complex health, dementia and cognitive care needs.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement to enhance resident outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $55.07 - $70.54 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
