About the work unit / facility:

Charters Towers Health Service is a level 3 (CSCF), non-birthing, 23 bed rural hospital with emergency and ambulatory services.  Ambulatory services include community health nursing, child health nursing, midwifery group practice (non-birthing), advanced health worker, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and social work onsite.

Competitive salary and benefits:

  • Salary range: $79,272 to $88,158 p.a. (AO3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

The Administration Officer provides high quality administrative support to a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate service delivery within the Charters Towers Health Service.  The position works independently to respond to enquiries, provide information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors while maintaining confidentiality. Key component is facilitating and processing Medicare billing.

Requirements:

  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
