We are excited to welcome a Registered Nurse to join Inpatient Unit 4B.
Our unit is a busy 32-bed general surgical ward providing high-quality, patient-centred care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We care for a diverse mix of both elective and emergency surgical patients, offering exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations and opportunities to develop advanced surgical nursing skills. 4B specialises in Colorectal, Hepatobiliary and Thoracic Surgery, making it an excellent environment for nurses who are passionate about delivering specialised surgical care within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
As a Registered Nurse on 4B, you will work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals to deliver safe, evidence-based care throughout the patient's surgical journey. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, advocating for patients and their families, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the unit. Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager of 4B, you will be supported to further develop your clinical knowledge, critical thinking and professional practice while making a meaningful contribution to positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service Values.

- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
Salary between $87 368 - $112 064 p.a. or $3348.80 - $4295.40 p.f. (f/t) or salary rates: $44.06 - $56.51 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Multiple Permanent and Fixed Term Temporary Full-time and/ or Part-time positions available, hours negotiable).
