What your day could look like

As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Project Officer, you'll play an important role in strengthening health outcomes and supporting community priorities across Darling Downs Health. Working closely with communities, colleagues and partners, you'll help turn ideas into action and contribute to initiatives that create lasting impact.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Coordinating and improving health programs that support better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Building strong relationships with community members, consumers and stakeholders to support engagement and advocacy
  • Developing resources, reports and recommendations that inform effective and culturally responsive service delivery
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives that advance health equity and service excellence

  • Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture and community priorities
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs or initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Excellent communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to develop quality reports, resources and recommendations in a complex environment

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have project management experience and/or advanced Microsoft Office skills.
