What your day could look like
As a Psychologist with GARSS, you'll help people navigate important life transitions and challenges, empowering them to live with greater confidence, independence and wellbeing. Working across specialist memory and rehabilitation services, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values learning, collaboration and person-centred care. Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering evidence-based assessment and psychological support that helps patients achieve meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes.
- Working alongside patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues to provide coordinated care and positive experiences.
- Supporting older adults and rehabilitation patients to adapt to cognitive, emotional and functional changes with confidence.
- Contributing to service improvement, clinical learning and innovation that strengthens care for the community.

You're a psychologist who combines clinical capability with genuine care for people. Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain registration
- Strong assessment, intervention and communication skills grounded in evidence-based practice
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues
- The ability to manage priorities, adapt to changing needs and contribute to continuous improvement
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working with older adults, cognitive assessment or rehabilitation services, and/or experience supporting students, mentoring colleagues or contributing to service development initiatives.
