About your opportunity:

In this position you will….

  • Effectively manage human resource management casework and project work, under the guidance of the Senior Human Resource Consultant. Key focus areas include grievances and investigations; appeals; discipline; anti-discrimination, equity and diversity; voluntary early retirement and ill health retirement; and strategies to promote a supportive work environment, positive work culture and improved capacity to manage work/life balance in client group.
  • Provide general Human Resource and Employee Relations advice and support to management and employees within the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service across a broad range of human resource management disciplines.
  • Maintain an understanding of relevant legislation, awards, policies and procedures and ensure that practices within client groups are consistent with these.
  • Ensure that human resource records are managed in an efficient and confidential manner compliant to organisational requirements.
