Your key responsibilities:
- Provide high level advice and awareness to delegates, decision-makers and other relevant stakeholders on the management of sensitive, complex and confidential employee conduct issues, including matters involving corrupt conduct and/or public interest disclosures.
- Liaise and maintain relationships with external agencies such as Hospital and Health Services, the Crime and Corruption Commission, Queensland Ombudsman, Office of the Health Ombudsman, Queensland Police Service and the Public Service Commission and represent the department at relevant meetings and forums.
- Manage investigation services provided by the Ethical Standards Unit, and provide advice, direction and support for internal and external investigators ensuring they are of a high standard and are delivered in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Role fit
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Demonstrated high level of skills, experience and knowledge in managing public sector investigations, specifically in relation to suspected and/or alleged corrupt conduct, and in compiling comprehensive, concise and timely reports.
- Demonstrated expertise in complaint and public interest disclosure management processes and ethical and professional practice standards, with the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive and complex work environment.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills including liaising and negotiating, and a demonstrated capacity to manage relationships and information exchange, of a confidential and sensitive nature, across a range of key internal and external stakeholders.
