Cairns Hospital is the largest major referral hospital in Far North Queensland, providing specialized health services and comprehensive care to patients from the Torres Strait to Tully.
Our population is 260,000 with First Nations people making up 14% of the region's population. Cairns Hospital provides a range of specialist outpatient, inpatient, and emergency services from its CBD site on the Cairns Esplanade and has over 500 inpatient beds.
About your role:
- Patient assessments and implementation of risk management and care plans.
- Management of Intercostal Catheters
- Respiratory support including Non-invasive ventilation and High flow nasal prongs
- Paracentesis with Albumin replacement
- Management of central lines (PICC and Ports)
- Blood product administration.
- Central Venous Access Device management
- Bone marrow biopsy assistance, including procedural sedation.
- End of life cares.
