We are currently recruiting for two Category Manager positions. Applicants may be considered for one or both of the following portfolios:
- Category Manager (General Goods and Services)
- Category Manager (Clinical Goods and Services)
About Your New Role
As the Category Manager you will provide strategic leadership to deliver innovative procurement solutions that support high-quality patient care. You will lead the development and implementation of category strategies, driving value for money, service excellence and sustainable procurement outcomes across the Hospital and Health Service. Working collaboratively with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders, you will oversee complex sourcing activities, establish effective procurement frameworks and ensure the reliable supply of clinical goods and services that meet organisational and patient needs.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading and overseeing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities
- Providing expert procurement advice
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives
- Preparing high-quality advice, recommendations, briefing and presentations
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business, Commerce or Legal would be well regarded
- Experience in a health care setting or complex public sector environment or organisation would be well regarded
- Experience in strategic procurement and category management, preferably within Clinical or health services would be highly regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time (two positions)
- Base salary ranging from $155,432 - $167,467 per annum
