The Role
An opportunity has become available a Clinical Nurse (Anaesthetics/Post Anaesthetics Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Have advanced clinical skills and floor coordination within a multidisciplinary team
- Liaise with Nurse Unit Manager regarding allocation of staff for development and training
- Perform in the roles of anaesthetic and post anaesthetic care, Surgical admissions and Day Surgery nurse over a range of specialties
- Function as a resource person, role model and leader in the work unit for the particular portfolio area with the intent to facilitate the development of other colleagues
- Promote a clear description of portfolio responsibilities, activities, progress and outcomes to all staff within the work unit
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (56 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $113 979 - $122 048 per annum
