About your opportunity:
The Clinical Nurse – Clinical Research Coordinator is an advanced clinical nursing role responsible for coordinating the implementation and delivery of the Improving the Early Detection of Lung Cancer project across Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The position supports a Rapid Access Lung Nodule Clinic and a virtual Lung Nodule Multidisciplinary Meeting (MDM), delivered in partnership with The Prince Charles Hospital using a hub-and-spoke model, consistent with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) Lung Nodule Management Framework.
The role provides clinical leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary care, supporting patient navigation through the lung nodule pathway, maintaining surveillance and recall systems to ensure timely follow-up imaging, coordinating referrals through the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, and maintaining high-quality clinical and research data. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across North Queensland, the position supports equitable, evidence-based care for patients with pulmonary nodules, with a focus on improving timely diagnosis and outcomes for regional, rural, remote and First Nations communities.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Generous remuneration package value up to $102,777 p.a. (NG6-1)
- Salary range: $57.48 to $61.55 p.h.
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

- Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration (AHPRA).
