About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas with services located in each area.
Rockhampton is the principal service centre and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, and is the location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. In addition, there is an Adult Step Up Step Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton.
About the role:
- Provide specialist mental health assessment, intervention and therapeutic support for children, young people and their families across a range of clinical settings.
- Deliver evidence-based care including crisis intervention, psychotherapy, case management, early intervention and mental health promotion as part of a multidisciplinary Child and Youth Mental Health team.
- Build strong partnerships with families, schools, health professionals and community services to deliver coordinated, recovery-focused care.
- Manage an evolving clinical caseload, applying sound clinical judgement while developing expertise in the assessment and treatment of complex child and adolescent mental health presentations.
- Support service excellence by contributing to outreach services, quality improvement initiatives, clinical practice development and ongoing professional learning.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
A relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable for this position.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
