About your opportunity

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help the Townsville Hospital and Health Service identify potentially suitable applicants for future Pharmacist employment opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Clinical Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and you will be contacted further by the Pharmacy Department at the time an opportunity arises. Further participation in other recruitment selection processes (for example written application and/or interview) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required. Specialty skills will be assessed to determine eligibility for available positions.

Competitive salary and benefits:

We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.

  • Salary range: $49.83 to $73.24 per hour (HP3)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Highly regarded: A competent level of knowledge, expertise and skills in contemporary, evidence-based hospital pharmacy services and ability to apply this knowledge at Townsville University Hospital.
  • Highly regarded: An ability to work collaboratively with and actively participate in, a multi-disciplinary team and to implement the APAC Continuum of Care guidelines in a team environment, so as to provide quality services, support research activity and promote a model of best practice for the benefit of patients and staff.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
