About Your Role

As our Allied Health Senior Research Officer, you'll combine your clinical expertise with advanced research skills to support the delivery of the RA-HEAL clinical trial.

In this role you will:

  • Deliver evidence-based dietetic care via telehealth to clinical trial participants
  • Provide individual and group dietary counselling using research protocols
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, consent and ongoing study activities
  • Collect, manage and analyse dietary and clinical research data
  • Maintain research databases, regulatory documentation and study records
  • Monitor research quality, safety and compliance with ethical standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers across health and university sectors
  • Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts and research dissemination

About You

You are an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian with a passion for clinical research and improving patient outcomes.

You'll also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics with APD accreditation
  • Experience in clinical research and research protocol delivery
  • Strong clinical dietetics experience in chronic disease management
  • Excellent knowledge of research governance, ethics and Good Clinical Practice
  • Experience delivering telehealth and patient-centred dietary counselling
  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing and interpreting research data
  • Excellent written communication and scientific writing skills
  • Outstanding organisational and project management abilities

Princess Alexandra Hospital:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
