About us:

Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS), provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population.

About the role:

  • Manage the day-to-day work productivity throughout Operational Services especially in areas of cleaning and food services.
  • Prioritise workloads and organise replacement staff as requested by the Senior Administration Officer.
  • Conduct regular inspections, assessments and audits of areas to monitor and ensure the service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Provide ongoing and effective communication with all client area managers and all team members within Operational Services.

About you:

  • While not mandatory, a background in the food service industry, good communication, computer skills and record keeping would be well regarded.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to complete the Food Safety Supervisor course.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, confidentiality, punctuality and respect for colleagues and clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant Legislation and Standards applicable to the provision of Food Safety and Support Services in a diverse health care environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and o rally) in a client service and public environment including the use of computers as required.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $83,100 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.04 - $36.73 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
