About us:
The multidisciplinary team consists of Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and Administration Support Officers (18 FTE) providing acute and sub-acute services to adult and paediatric inpatients, outpatients, community and outreach services to children and adults. The service is operationally line managed by the Team Leader Cassowary Allied Health. Physiotherapy services report professionally to the CHHHS Director of Physiotherapy. The Cassowary Coast Physiotherapy team consists of:
Innisfail based positions: Advanced Physiotherapist (HP5 1.0 FTE), Senior Physiotherapist (HP4 1.0FTE) Tully based position: Senior Physiotherapist (HP4 1.0FTE)
The Cassowary Allied Health team works closely with the allied health and physiotherapy services located at Babinda Hospital (rural hospital and MPHS services) as well as the Cassowary Adult Community Health Service.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will….
- Deliver advanced level Rural Generalist Physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services across the broad spectrum of presentations to the Hospital wards, Emergency Department and Physiotherapy outpatient service including musculoskeletal, cardio-respiratory, neurological, orthopaedics, paediatrics, geriatrics and women's health.
- Provide and support clinical practice and professional supervision, including competency training and skill development, for Physiotherapists across the rural facilities within the HHS, allied health assistants, students involved in undergraduate or observational clinical placements and work experience students.
- Lead delegated operational management and professional governance tasks for Cassowary Hub services including recruitment and retention, leave planning and relief coverage, implementation and monitoring of supervision frameworks, and overseeing Individual Development Plans.
