Your key responsibilities:
- Provide timely, high-quality strategic policy and program advice and support in relation to the Population Health Division priorities, informed by research, analysis and relevant quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring consistency and alignment with the departments policy and guidelines.
- Manage and maintain strong, positive relationships across government and with the non-government sector utilising highly developed communication skills, ensuring effective outcomes are achieved.
- Coordinate and lead the development, review and continuous improvement of complex projects and contribute to the development of options for best practice frameworks for the functions overseen by the Office of the Chief Health Officer and Deputy-Director-General and broader the strategy and coordination branch.

The essential requirements for this role are:
- Proven skills in researching and analysing complex issues and providing high quality and timely advice and options to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, including experience confidently and clearly negotiating and presenting complex concepts and advice to internal and external stakeholders to positively influence and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating robust policy and program advice and directions to achieve strategic objectives and outcomes for government and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set and revise priorities and achieve results within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
