Working with health services, government, councils, NGOs, researchers, and community groups, TPHU reduces communicable, vaccine-preventable diseases, and environmental health risks within the Townsville HHS region.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $139,951 to $151949 p.a. (NG7)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
The Public Health Nurse Immunisation is an advanced practice nursing role responsible for providing clinical leadership, expert advice, and strategic coordination of immunisation and communicable disease control activities across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) and North West (NWHHS). This position leads the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of public health immunisation programs within the TPHU.
Requirements:
- Mandatory qualifications (Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent) and proof of registration (AHPRA).
- Possession of a Class C driver's licence.
- Travel may be a requirement of this role.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
