About the role

The Team Leader is responsible for supervising, coordinating and supporting administrative services within the Emergency and Trauma Centre (ETC). The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, client-focused administrative support through effective leadership, operational oversight and continuous service improvement within a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will lead and develop an administrative team, manage operational priorities, support quality improvement initiatives and provide expert advice to managers and stakeholders regarding service delivery, risk management and business processes. The role requires a proactive leader who can adapt to change, drive performance and support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead and coordinate administrative staff to deliver efficient, integrated and high-quality support services that meet operational requirements and performance objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and stakeholders regarding administrative operations, risk management, service improvement and change initiatives.
  • Develop team capability through staff support, training, performance management and the promotion of professional development opportunities.
  • Analyse business processes, identify improvement opportunities and lead quality assurance activities that enhance service delivery and operational outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills while managing competing priorities and fostering positive stakeholder relationships.
