We're excited to welcome an experienced Registered Nurse to our Paediatric Critical Care Unit.
The Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) is a 4-bed unit. The SCUH Paediatric CCU provides a level 4 service and will increase its capability to provide a level 5 service in the future.
The unit provides a Level 4 Intensive Care service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The PCCU provides dedicated specialist expertise and resources for the care and support of children and their families, using the skills of medical, nursing, and allied health staff qualified and experienced in the management of critically ill children.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Experience in caring for children requiring ventilatory support – wither invasive or non-invasive ventilation.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.
- Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work health and safety and ethical behaviour.
- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
Salary rates: $44.06 - $56.51 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Multiple Fixed Term Temporary Part-time positions available, hours negotiable, for up to 3-6 months.).
