Your new role:

As a Registered Midwife with Logan and Beaudesert Health Service, you'll provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care that supports women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal journey. In this role, you will:

  • Provide woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal services
  • Work collaboratively with midwives, obstetricians, neonatal, nursing and allied health teams
  • Support women and families to make informed decisions throughout their maternity journey
  • Rotate across maternity services to maintain and broaden your clinical skills

You're a compassionate and skilled Midwife who is committed to delivering safe, respectful and individualised care. You thrive in a collaborative environment, embrace lifelong learning and are passionate about supporting women and families during one of life's most important experiences. You will bring:

  • Strong clinical knowledge across the maternity continuum
  • Sound clinical judgement and the ability to prioritise care in a dynamic environment
  • A commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and quality improvement
  • The flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster and rotate through maternity services to maintain scope of practice

The Process:

This Talent Pool collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual and temporary opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and should there be an employment opportunity you will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further. Additional selection processes (interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.

  • As part of the talent pool, you may be offered casual or temporary employment opportunities that become available based on the Suitability Pool
  • A pool will generally continue for a 12-month period
  • If you are placed in the talent pool, you may be offered a position within the relevant time period, however your appointment to a position is not guaranteed

About the Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. 

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
