As an Educational Team Leader in Training and Assessment, you will support teaching teams by providing leadership and supervision to support efficient and high-quality delivery to students, promote job satisfaction and improved quality of working life for teaching teams.
The Role
We have an exciting role available as an Educational Team Leader, Training and Assessment, at TAFE Queensland’s Ipswich or Toowoomba Campus.
As an Educational Team Leader you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by leading and supporting teaching teams to delivery high-quality training and education.
This position is available on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2027, unless otherwise determined, and reports to the Faculty Director. The successful candidate will be required to travel and work from other TAFE Queensland locations.
Salary
The salary range for an Educational Team Leader is $116,193 - $124,323 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications held and teaching experience.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess the following:
- TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
- TAE50111 or TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
- TAE50211 or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
- A higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
And also the following:
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
- current Queensland Driver’s Licence;
- current Blue Card or Exemption Card (or ability to obtain prior to commencement), to comply with the Working with Children Check Act 2000.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable
Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:
- Five (5) or more years of teaching experience within TAFE Queensland, Vocational Education or another post-compulsory education experience.
- Higher level qualification in Leadership.
- A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials:
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
- TAESS00011 or TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor
