About us:
Our nurses and midwives contribute to building a culture of success through the provision of high-quality care, innovation, and professional governance. Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service employ over 3000 nurses across more than 30 facilities, including 10 hospitals.
Cairns Hospital provides moderate to high complexity inpatient and ambulatory services covering most clinical specialties and all age ranges. Within the rural and remote services, Innisfail, Mossman, Atherton, and Mareeba Hospitals provide low to moderately complex inpatient and ambulatory services covering a range of clinical services and all age ranges. Gordonvale, Babinda, and Herberton Hospitals provide low complexity inpatient and ambulatory care services. In addition, there are 10 primary health centres, 10 community health centres and 3 residential mental health facilities. Corrections Qld are also supported with a health facility.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will….
- Provide support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promote cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
- Act as a clinical and educational resource within an area based in knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Participate in developing and undertaking quality initiatives, clinical audits, clinical trials, and research.
