Are you passionate about leading and supporting a lived experience workforce to make a meaningful difference in mental health services? Wide Bay Mental Health and Specialised Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader – Lived Experience Workforce to provide leadership, supervision, and strategic direction for our growing lived experience workforce across the Wide Bay region. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen the integration of lived experience perspectives into service delivery, promote recovery-oriented practice, and support the professional development and wellbeing of lived experience staff.

Your opportunity: 

  • The Team Leader Lived Experience Workforce leads and manages the Lived Experience (Peer) workforce through provision of operational and professional supervision.
  • The Team Leader Lived Experience Workforce provides professional, client focused, high quality support to mental health consumers whilst ensuring compliance with industrial and legislative provisions aligned to meet business needs.
  • The Team Leader Lived Experience Workforce provides advice in strategic, operational and human resource management utilising a well-developed level of specialist knowledge and high-level communication and problem-solving skills.

Under 25s of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to have a personal lived experience of mental illness and recovery and/or caring for someone with a lived experience of mental illness and recovery.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $152,773 p.a., comprising salary between $125,002 - $133,898 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
