About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) delivers specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug support to people across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana. The service provides a broad range of inpatient, community and recovery-focused programs, working collaboratively to support people experiencing complex mental illness.
Through assessment, case management, therapeutic interventions, referrals and ongoing support, CQMHAODS helps individuals improve their wellbeing, reduce the impact of mental illness and achieve meaningful recovery close to home.
About the role:
- Coordinate essential administrative functions, including medical record management, appointment scheduling, referrals, Medicare billing, email and calendar management, and preparation of agendas and meeting minutes.
- Prioritise and manage competing workloads independently, responding flexibly to urgent tasks while meeting organisational deadlines and service goals.
- Communicate professionally with consumers and staff across clinical, medical, administrative and management teams, providing confidential, responsive customer service and telephone support.
- Maintain operational systems and resources, including specialised health information systems, fleet vehicle coordination, and supporting the Needle Syringe Program (NSP) in line with organisational policies and procedures.
About you:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide professional, confidential support and clearly convey information to consumers and staff.
- Strong teamwork and customer service focus, anticipating and responding to the needs of consumers, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
- Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and specialised healthcare systems, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record management.
- Highly organised and self-motivated, able to prioritise workloads, work independently on routine tasks and confidently manage more complex responsibilities.
- Committed to supporting mental health and alcohol and other drug services, including appropriately managing frontline enquiries, escalating consumers of concern, and delivering efficient administrative support that contributes to quality clinical care.
What we offer:
Total monthly remuneration value of up to $3,352 p.m. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
