About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to provide an efficient Administration Support service to the Emergency Department clinical staff and patients, with a high level of customer service demonstrating empathy, respect, teamwork and compassion. Respond to enquiries and provide information and assistance to staff, patients and visitors to facilitate effective service delivery within a hospital setting.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Rotate through various administration positions within the Emergency Department as directed by your Supervisor.
- Ability to adapt to change to ensure continuous improvement in processes whilst providing quality care to patients, families and carers.
- Effectively communicate with patients, visitors and staff and demonstrate empathy, patience and a positive customer focus, including assisting clinical staff in maintaining patient contact and communication with family and visitors both internally and externally.
- Perform a support role to medical and nursing staff within the department by assisting with the preparation and completion of a range of administrative duties.
