Working directly with the Chief Finance Officer, you will guide our dedicated Finance team in delivering high-level financial management, revenue strategy, and annual budget planning.
You will foster a collaborative team environment where continuous improvement is celebrated, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for executive leaders. This high-visibility role provides the ideal balance of strategic oversight and hands-on team leadership, ensuring our health service maintains total integrity across all financial operations.

About the role:
- Plan, negotiate, and implement CQ Health's annual and future operating and capital budgets.
- Coordinate revenue estimates, billing processes, and the annual Service Agreement negotiation with the Department of Health.
- Provide high-level strategic advice, technical analysis, and reporting to the CFO, Chief Executive, and Board.
- Maintain the total integrity of financial data, internal control frameworks, and statutory compliance reporting.
- Lead asset valuations, oversee financial risk management frameworks, and monitor the minor capital program.
About you:

- You possess proven capability to build capability, mentor staff, and lead high-performing financial teams.
- You clarify and effectively communicate broad and highly complex financial issues to diverse audiences.
- You build and sustain collaborative, productive relationships across executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline (CPA/CA status highly regarded).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of between $205,180 - $221,325 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $179,569 - $193,698 p.a.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
