About the work unit / facility
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics provides comprehensive dietetic services across Townsville Hospital and Health Service, supporting consumers across the lifespan and continuum of care. Services are delivered across acute, rehabilitation, community health and aged care settings throughout North Queensland.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $144,991 to $151,289 p.a. (HP5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus great salary packaging options to increase take-home pay
- Flexible working arrangements may be available
About your opportunity
Join Townsville Hospital and Health Service in a rewarding senior dietetic leadership role where you will influence the delivery of food services across a large and diverse healthcare network. Utilising your advanced expertise in dietetic food service management, you will provide strategic direction and professional advice to ensure high-quality, safe and consumer-centred food services across hospitals, residential aged care facilities and multipurpose health services.
With a strong focus on service improvement, compliance and innovation, you will lead initiatives that promote consistent and sustainable food service models while supporting excellence in patient care, education and research. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on nutrition and food service outcomes for communities across North Queensland.
Requirements
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution
- Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) credential and eligibility for membership with Dietitians Australia
Highly desirable
- Qualifications and/or experience in food service management, change management, health management, and/or rural and remote health practice
