The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Educator (Paediatrics) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead and support a culture of ongoing learning and workforce development
- Coordinate and deliver the statewide Transition to Specialty Practice Program
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate learning and development activities
- Facilitate role development through succession planning, role modelling, and mentoring
- Participate in educational and professional nursing networks, work groups, and organisations
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $139,951 - $151,949 per annum
About Us
Gold Coast Health's Children's Service provides a Level 4/5 Paediatric Service as per the Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework. The 32 bedded Children's Inpatient Unit and busy Ambulatory Service has the capability to plan and deliver holistic child and family centred care for infants and children from birth to 17 years of age. Children's Services is supported by a 4 bedded Children's Critical Care Unit, Children's Hospital in the Home, an Adolescent and Young Adult Service, Complex Care Team, and a Child Protection Unit. Other Children's Services external to the hospital include Community Child Health and School Health Services delivering primary healthcare to children and their families of the Gold Coast.
