About your role

As a Registered Nurse in the Transit Lounge at Redland Hospital, you'll play an important role in ensuring patients move safely and efficiently through their hospital journey. 

In this role you will:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Support patients receiving infusions, blood products and minor procedures.
• Collaborate closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams.
• Facilitate timely patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Provide education and support to patients, families and carers.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses, AINs and students.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation.

About you

You're a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a busy clinical environment.

You'll bring:

• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Redland Hospital: 

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
