About the role

The Health Practitioner – Simulation Coordinator supports the delivery of simulation-based education and capability development activities within the Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS). Working in partnership with Simulation Educators and the Assistant Nursing Director, the role contributes to strengthening multidisciplinary workforce performance through the coordination, development and delivery of high-quality simulation learning experiences.

The successful candidate will assist with the design, implementation and evaluation of simulation programs, maintain simulation and audio-visual equipment, coordinate education activities and support statewide simulation initiatives. The role combines clinical education, technical simulation expertise and collaborative teamwork to promote continuous learning and enhance healthcare workforce capability across Metro North Health and Queensland.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Coordinate and support the delivery, development and evaluation of simulation-based education activities for healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide specialist simulation support, including the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of simulation and audio-visual equipment.
  • Assist Simulation Educators and stakeholders to design learning experiences that meet educational objectives and promote workforce capability.
  • Contribute to research, quality assurance, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance simulation and education services.
  • Provide leadership and support to less experienced staff while fostering collaborative partnerships across Metro North Health and statewide simulation networks.
