The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Advanced Trainee / Fellow (Nuclear Medicine Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide Medical Imaging services for inpatients and outpatients as appropriate
- Assist with teaching and training
- Contribute to and support clinical unit improvement activities, through identifying areas for improvement and participating in implementation
- Assist with the collation and coordination of clinical attendance at Clinical, Academic and Multidisciplinary Meetings
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery degree or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Completion of Part II FRANZCR exams, FRACP exams or equivalent
- Completion of all necessary registrar training
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (up to 12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $174,469 - $192,257 per annum

The Medical Imaging Department delivers a wide range of diagnostic, imaging, and interventional services, across two campuses, Gold Coast University Hospital located at Southport and Robina Hospital. The new department has a range of cutting edge radiologic technology. The current department activity is 240,000 examinations per year, which includes advanced CT and MRI (including breast and prostate), neuro-interventional radiology, endovascular surgery, and the full range of general hospital work.
