We're excited to welcome a Nurse Unit Manager to our Paediatric Critical Care Unit.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) will provide leadership which ensures the efficient and effective use of human and material resources in a specific area within a dynamic health environment and will practice at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.
The NUM position has an advanced level of professional and operational autonomous decision making in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and is responsible for enacting strategies that support a positive work-based culture. The successful applicant will possess advanced problem solving and critical thinking attributes that will assist in the application and evaluation of contemporary nursing practice and theory.
The PCCU at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) operates a mix of ICU and High Dependency Unit beds and provides specialist care for medical and surgical patients for the SCHHS. The unit strives to offer a culture of education, learning and support within the multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.

- Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
Remuneration value up to $173 368 p.a., comprising salary between $139 951 - $151 949 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG7).
