Your new role:

As an Information Access Officer, you will coordinate and process requests for health and employee information under a range of State and Commonwealth legislation, including the Right to Information Act 2009. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll assess requests, manage sensitive information, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure information is released accurately, securely and within legislative timeframes. Your expertise will support privacy, governance and continuous service improvement while contributing to high-quality outcomes across Metro South Health.

About you:

You are a detail-focused and customer-oriented information professional who thrives on managing sensitive information, applying legislation and delivering accurate outcomes in a complex healthcare environment. You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience interpreting legislation, policies and procedures relating to information access, privacy and confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet legislative timeframes and maintain accurate records.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to critically assess, analyse and review information to support sound decision-making and risk management.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service while upholding privacy, integrity and Queensland Health values.

Finance Services provides strategic financial leadership, governance and business support to enable Metro South Health to deliver sustainable, high-quality healthcare services to the community. The department delivers a broad range of financial functions including budgeting, reporting, compliance, analysis, revenue management, business management and health information services.

Working alongside Finance Services, Digital Health and Informatics drives the integration of technology and healthcare, connecting patients, clinicians and digital solutions to improve health outcomes across Metro South Health facilities and community services.
